Michelle Bayara makes move from childhood home to Gallions Place
Vistry Ventures, the developers behind Gallions Place, has welcomed its latest resident, Michelle Bayara. Having lived in Deptford previously with her Mum and brothers, Michelle saved for four years to buy her dream home.
35 year old Michelle has bought a 2-bedroom apartment at the development for £435,000 with a deposit of £80,000; her monthly mortgage is £,1670 – on a 35 year mortgage.
She said: “My brother had recently bought his new home in Plaistow, so being keen to live near him, I started to search out the surrounding areas. Gallions Place is only ten minutes down the road, so I booked a viewing straight away.
“It was exactly what I was looking for - the apartments sold themselves. They were so spacious, and they absolutely killed it with the showroom design to show you what it could look like. I completely fell in love there and then with the modern, sleek and stylish finishes – it was exactly what I was looking for.
“I also loved that it was right next to the water, and of course so near to the DLR – this was a big selling point for me. It’s only a short journey to my office in Old Street, and of course my brother is just down the road.
Gallions Place is a reimagined neighbourhood within the Royal Docks Enterprise Zone which is undergoing an £8bn transformation backed by the Mayor of London. We asked Michelle what her experience has been like buying with Vistry Ventures: “The whole experience has been great, and extremely straightforward” she said. “And the aftersales has also been exceptional.
